Keyword Search on Course Directory
Keyword Search on Course Directory
Updated over 10 months ago

Workleap LMS offers a keyword search engine at the training directory level to facilitate the search for courses.

The search results are ranked based on their level of importance, which is determined by the order of the fields in which our system searches for information.

The search engine does not access the content of the courses and searches for keywords from the fields accessible before registration.

The fields are classified into three levels of importance: A, B, and C.

Here is the search priority order of our system:

  • Title (A)

  • Description (B)

  • Trainer’s name (B)

  • Provider’s name (B)

  • Objective (C)

  • Target audience (C)

  • Trainer’s bio (C)

When you perform a search, our system starts with the most important field (A) and continues to the least important field (B or C).

If multiple results are found in a field, they are ranked according to their relevance.

For example, if your system searches for the word “cat”, it will start by searching in the “Title” field (A). If multiple results are found in this field, they will be ranked according to their relevance.

Then, your system will search in the “Description” field (B), then in the “Objective” and “Target audience” fields (C), and so on.
