Import and Sync Your ADP User Groups Structure with the Didacte x Workforce Now Canada integration

Updated over a week ago

Didacte integrates with ADP Canada's Workforce Now to simplify the flow of work of its clients. The integration aims at reducing the clerical workload associated with user and group manual synchronization between the 2 systems.

Through this partnership, you can automatically sync both systems to make sure that your employees are always in the same structure as they are in Workforce Now.

To leverage this integration, there are 2 possible scenarios from which you can start.

1. New customer: Create a new Didacte platform from ADP

If you currently have an ADP subscription, but no Didacte platform, you will need to go through the ADP Marketplace, find the Didacte LMS for ADP Workforce Now® app and start a free trial. This gives you the ability to test Didacte in its fully-featured format and confirm that Didacte is a great fit for your needs.

Once you go through the purchase process, you’ll be asked to provide consent for Didacte to access your Workforce Now data. Once it’s done, you will be presented with your brand new Didacte platform.

2. Existing customer: Link your Didacte platform to ADP

If you already have a Didacte platform and you want to link it to an ADP subscription, you will instead need to buy the Didacte Connector for ADP Workforce Now®.

During the checkout process in the ADP Marketplace, you will be asked to provide your Activation key. You can get it in Didacte under Configuration > Advanced configuration > Integrations > ADP (Canada).

Once the checkout process is complete, ADP will ask you to provide consent for Didacte to access your data. Once its done, you will be ready to sync data from ADP to Didacte.

How to sync ADP categories and workers in Didacte

Once your Didacte and ADP properties are properly connected, you should be able to access the sync interface Configuration > Advanced configuration > Integrations > ADP (Canada) > Synchronize my employees.

This interface will allow you to select which categories from ADP you want to sync within Didacte. When your selection is ready and confirmed, the sync will start (it may take a couple minutes to complete if you have a lot of data to sync).

Syncing categories will:

  • Create new groups under Users > Groups

    • The name of these groups can only be modified in ADP

    • Users can only be assigned/unassigned to the groups through ADP

  • Create users that do not exists yet in Didacte

    • Users will stop being created if you reach your plan’s user limit.

    • You will be notified through the app if your current Didacte active account is reached.
