Workleap's roles and permission are all synced at the user level in the Workleap Management app.

While roles are synced across all Workleap products, each product offers a specific set of additional permissions.
Roles are additive, so a user can be granted permissions sets for multiple level of roles at once.
See each role's permissions below that are specific to Workleap LMS:
Administrator
On Workleap LMS, the administrator is a representative of the organization that is mainly in charge of the structure of the LMS, but does not need access to the course content information.
The administrator has access to:
Organizational settings.
Billing settings
Users.
Roles.
SSO.
Teams.
Segments.
Attributes.
Can activate new Workleap products.
Note: Administrators have the right to promote others to the Administrator or Executive role. Note that all Workleap accounts must have at least one Administrator and one Executive. The user who signs up for Workleap is both an Administrator and Executive by default.
Executive
On Workleap LMS, the executive has full access on everything that surrounds both courses and users management.
The executive can:
Create/Manage Users.
Create/Manage Roles.
Create/ Manage Teams.
Manage LMS-specific teams settings
Create/Manage segments.
Create/Manage properties.
View teams stats
Manage course library
Create/Update/Delete/Publish any course
Create/Update/Delete any course content
Manage course authors
Create/Update/Delete/Publish learning path
Access quiz results and answers
Enroll/Disenroll users into courses/learning paths
Monitor progress
Create/Manage requalifications
Collaborator
On Workleap LMS, the collaborator is in charge of creating content for the organization, but does not have any relation to specific teams. This role is best suited for L&D specialists and LMS project leads.
A collaborator can:
Consult the list of all users
Create/Manage/Delete/Publish the courses they own
Monitor progress on the course they own
Correct quizzes and view results on the course they own
Create/Manage/Delete/Publish on their learning paths
Can only add a limited set of courses:
Public courses
Courses they own
Courses where they are assigned as an additional author
Manage enrollment on the course or learning paths they own
View requalifications data on the course they own
Team Manager
On Workleap LMS, the team manager is directly responsible for one or multiple teams and their related users. Team managers own continuous development of their direct reports and have the necessary permissions to support them
A team manager can:
Consult the list of their teams and associated stats
Consult the list of their team members
View any courses that have at least 1 enrollment linked to a team member
Can enroll their team members in public courses
Unenroll team members from course if they are the initial course enroller
Monitor the progress of their team members
View quiz results of their team members
View and update requalifications data of their team members
Employee
On Workleap LMS, an employee is a user who can consult and participate in a training. It is the default role level of any user invite on Workleap LMS
Employees can:
View the courses made available to them
View their enrollment data of the courses they are enrolled in
View their own requalification data
LMS-specific permissions
To provide more flexibility with course and content creation for its customers, Workleap LMS has added an additional layer of permissions, consisting of Authors and Course Session Owners
Authors:
Authors are subject matter experts who are called in to contribute on the creation of course plans and content. Any user can be added as an additional author on a course.
Authors can:
View the courses they are assigned as authors on
Modify the course plan of courses they are authors on
View course enrollment data of courses they are authors on
Correct and view quiz results of courses they are authors on
View requalification data of courses they are authors on
Course Session Owners
As Workleap LMS allows its customers to create in-person training, each session can be assigned a dedicated course session owner to manage attendance, content and participation.
A course session owner can:
View the courses they are assigned as course session owner on
View the course plans they are assigned as course session owner on
View course enrollment data they are assigned as course session owner on
